“We only planned for Mum to be with you after her stay in hospital and now she doesn't want to go back home. Thank you so much for bringing so much contentment to her life. She talks about you all the time.”
“Apart from periodic stays in hospital, my father spent his last year as a resident of Honeywood House Nursing Home. We could not have chosen a more loving and caring environment for him to spend his final days. We are forever grateful to all the staff at the home who provided substantial kindness and support during the final hours and invaluable assistance in the aftermath of his passing.”
I would just like to thank all the staff at Honeywood House who had a hand in taking care of my dad in the short time he stayed with you before his passing. I like to think his last days with you where gentle and peaceful. Unfortunately with his eyes closed most of the time he did not get to appreciate your wonderful grounds. Being an avid walker he would of loved walking around. I am sure he is in a great place now being with my mother. Thank you to Ivy for being a shoulder to cry on and accommodating my changes in funeral director plans. To Darwin who was always greeted me with a friendly face.
I will always remember my dad's smile on his face when your staff member who called him [nickname], sorry can not remember her name. Had reddish hair at one time then changed it. Rubbed cream on his face and he grin like a Cheshire cat. My mom called my dad [nickname] so I am sure he loved it and made him feel at home. Once again a big thank you to all your wonderful staff.

“After what seems like a long time, we now wish to thank you properly for everything you did for her. Mum was happy, comforted and wonderfully cared for while she was at Honeywood;
I could not have wanted anymore from you all and every member of staff showed a constant commitment to her wellbeing.
We shall remember Mum’s time with you with pride.”
“Thank you to all the staff at Honeywood House for the tender loving care you gave our Mother in the last months of her life, right to the very end. We are deeply grateful and knew she was in the best place she could possibly have been; we could not have wished for any better.”
“My husband has been at Honeywood since March 2016. He has gradually settled and accepted the home. Staff are kind and conscientious at all times and are able to meet his needs, which is advanced Parkinson's Disease.
His medical needs are catered for well and the nursing team respond to any concerns raised. I feel lucky to have such a good care home near to my home.”
“Patients are well looked after all the time. My husband is always clean and tidy, calm and though he cannot converse his needs are attended to without hesitation.
The staff are kind and understanding, creating an atmosphere of serenity, many have worked there a long time - this makes continuity in care. I am so lucky to have been recommended a nursing home where I have not worried on my husband’s behalf.”
From my experience of Dad residing with you at Honeywood:
1. The quality of care is in excess of excellent. Just what you need when you are in the situation of a loved one needing full time nursing care.
2 & 3. The staff were all both very friendly and very professional both towards Dad and his family. I was very impressed with the interpersonal skills of all of the staff in their varied roles.
I felt the staff had all got to know Dad well and took such great care of him as if he was their own cherished family member yet with a very professional approach.
All levels of staff were very friendly towards our family but with the appropriate level of professionalism required for each interaction. This is one of the qualities of Honeywood that most impressed and had a significant impact on me.
4. Honeywood very much met the needs of the resident. I was particularly impressed with the assessment and immediate implementation and excellent management of the care Dad required on his arrival at Honeywood. As his ‘guardian’ in what was a difficult year for Dad and his health, I could not have hoped for better.
Communication with myself was excellent and everything Dad needed was put into place in a timely fashion - for example the assessment of his need and sourcing of an appropriate wheelchair, pressure cushion, appropriate bed and hoist sling, along with referral for associated health and care assessments that his condition required.
5. Honeywood house very much ensured that the quality of life, privacy, dignity and safety was provided for the resident.
I could tell that despite Dad’s dementia and poor physical abilities that he soon felt very happy, comfortable and safe at Honeywood and not only accepting of but very much enjoyed his home there.
6. The communication system of Honeywood is indeed open and interactive. I felt I could get in touch at any time, very much respected the ideal but nevertheless flexible visiting times. I was kept well informed of everything I needed to be with regards to Dad’s care and any changes in condition.
Any contact from me was always well received, professionally dealt with and clearly well communicated within the team.
7. Overall impression of the home is again in excess of excellent. I could not have wished for a better home or care from such a wonderful team for the finals months of my Dad’s life. It was such a comfort to have such confidence in the Honeywood team knowing that my Dad himself was happy and comfortable during his time of need in the final months of his life as his health was failing. Also that we could visit him at anytime we were able. All of the staff went out of their way to give us all the best experience possible. I cannot thank you all enough for that.
I have nothing but praise and admiration for the way you ran Honeywood House, the quality of care was always
outstanding, nothing was ever too much trouble for you and your lovely staff.
All your staff are very friendly and professional, from the moment I first came to see Honeywood House and met Sandra I knew there was something special about the atmosphere and can do approach that Sandra, yourself and all
of your staff have, it is unique.
Ivy, you were amazing with the way you communicated with myself and Jane, how you found the time to write all
the detailed letters to us to keep us up to date with all medical problems I'll never know.
I am beyond impressed with Honeywood House, it is an outstanding care home, and in the last few years I have seen
and been involved with quite a few, and Honeywood is head and shoulders above all of them.
I would like to thank you and all your staff for the dedicated way you looked after you have all been
wonderful and I’m very grateful she could end her life being looked after so beautifully
“We cannot thank you enough for the care and dedication you gave Mum in her last weeks. Sadly, I wish she could have been with you longer but that was not to be, but I know she always loved it at Honeywood and we could not have wished for more than her to spend that little time with you. We will always be grateful for your kindness. Sandra, you have a wonderful team of carers and they are lucky to have a leader like yourself. With much love”
“Trying to persuade Dad, time had come for greater care than we could manage at home was a very difficult time for the entire family. Now he has found a new home at Honeywood, a new life with new friends and his own things around him.”
“Words cannot express our thanks for the kindness and caring you give to Dad. Each day, we are blessed knowing he is content and cared for. We should like to do this at home but, for other reasons we know Dad is happier with you. Our sincere thanks.”
“To the trustees and all the staff at Honeywood House Nursing Home thank you for your care and friendship during my recent stay, it was just like home.
I arrived tired and depressed and lonely, all that soon changed and when it was time to go home I didn’t want to leave”
